Trudy's Story
Life
I've had a long career in publishing and political activism. I left Galesburg for a journalism degree at Northern Illinois University, went back to Galesburg to work on my hometown paper, then on to jobs in the Quad-Cities and Chicago. I've been a writer and editor for newspapers, magazines, and books. Moved to Los Angeles in 1997; I'm copy chief for LPI Media here, and I live in the L.A. suburb of Burbank with my sister, Judy (I have two brothers back ...Expand for more

I have wonderful friends from every stage of my life, and I have no children but do have many fantastic nieces and nephews, and some of them have kids now: the apple of my eye is Judy's grandson, Nikos. I also have a wonderful dog named Spencer; he's the rare Catahoula breed. Hobbies: movies, theater, music, books, and volunteer work, mostly for liberal political causes. Most unusual achievement: being a two-time champion on Jeopardy! in 1998.
