Ty's Story
Life
I left Morristown (NJ) for Thiel College in 1979 and never really looked back. After majoring in party 101 at Thiel College (outside of Pittsburgh PA) I joined the Army and Uncle Sam paid off my student loans. Well, after 20 years and 22 countries including 3 years each in Italy and Germany, 1 year each in Korea and Egypt, and 6 months each in Israel and Venezuela I was sent to Fort Riley Kansas where I retired. I then went back to school and graduated with honors from Upper Iowa University and now I work as an Army civilian on Fort Riley. I own a 4 bedroom home here even though I am still single with no kids. Go figure. :) I should also mention that I am currently working on two projects. 1)a book called "Table for one" it is about life as a single person in KS. 2) Is my blog which called the Food Dude and can be found on my space. I rate and explore different places to eat here in Kansas and beyond.
Ciao Ty
School
I had some good times, great teachers and friends at Morristown High School. Life was so much simpler then and I sometimes wish that I could go back to those days. I look forward to our next reunion
College

with a bunch of life's lessons and friendships that I still have to this day. I will always remember WTGP and my radio show: T in the evening, the Ty Evans Show, Âsome like it hot, some like it cold, some just like itÂ. Who could forget The Knights of the Round Table (Mike, Mitch, Skip, Sam, Charlie). And last but not least Thiel's football team and those famous shouts from the bleachers of Greenville high, "When are you going to win a homecoming Wayne"
Workplace
Outside of working for the Government I really haven't had many other jobs. I guess that is why my friends would always ask me when was I going to get a real job.
Military
From Fort Hood Texas in 1985 to Fort Riley Kansas in 2006 I had a pretty good run. Can't say that I loved every second or even every duty station but I survived it. I even survived the 36 one month combat tours called recruiting; thank goodness I was stationed in the Steel city of Pittsburgh. I loved the city and the people there but I hated recruiting. I love to travel and when I was overseas and I took advantage of it to the tune of 22 different countries. It was like a second education going from the Pyramids of Egypt to the Dead Sea to the Leaning Tower of Pisa to Amsterdam and beyond.
