One of Tyler's favorite quotes is:"My name is Indigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die. Sith Lord Lessons Lesson 1: Honor The Sith have a major respect for their dead. This is why rarely, if ever, a person was resurrected or a Sith used the power of immortality. As the wise, the strong, we must have a respect, and keep our honor. To do otherwise is to be even worse than the first recorded, primitive Sith. As someone once told me, "Honor above all." This is my new philosophy, and all of my decisions are based upon it. "Personal power is weak. It is the power of one. But Honor can be upheld by all."- Xnuiem Lesson 2: The Magnitude of Silence Silence alone can speak volumes. A silent man can intimidate one who talks contantly very easily. Silence allows one to listen, to learn, without giving anything away yourself. Lesson 3: Patience Patience, an invaluable virtue. The art of being able to endure pain, provocation, or annoyance with calmness. The Sith Order, started by Darth Bane, mastered this skill. They needed be patient, for staying unknown for centuries is not a simple task. Patience still needs to be practiced by most. Although our dark intentions will usually shine through, we can accomplish more with patience. Lesson 4: Corruption Corruption: the toll of the dark side. It is inevitable, in one way or another. First, the meek Dark Jedi. Their corruption has merely begun, and they can live a long while before it takes effect. But then you go deeper into the dark side, into the Sith. This takes you to the heart of corruption, and it will easily overtake you when you least expect it. Take Palpatine for example. His body was withered to near worthlessness by corruption, and it affected his clones even more so. But, what if someone were to delve into alchemy, making their body invulnerable to degradation. What would happen then? The dark side is restless, and will take it's toll one way or the other. So, what is left for it to take? The mind. The soul. This is the reason why the ancient powers of alchemy were forbidden, for a psychotic Sith Lord was a dangerous one. Tkae this into account when becoming a Sith; there is no escape from the inevitable, no matter how well you have "mastered" the beast that is the Force. Lesson 5: Light and Dark; Good and Evil "The Force knows not segregation. The Force is pure. It is the people who use it that are dark and light." -Dark Lord Anakin Solo When I heard Lord Solo's quote for the first time, I was astounded at the brilliance of it. For the first time I had seen that it was not the Force that separated the sides, it was us, the wielders that chose what we wanted it to be. Like a mirror, it would reflect upon what we wanted, what our ethics were, and what we wanted it to be within us. Another good example is a knife or other weapon; such things can be used for good or evil. It's not the weapon that is evil, it's the wielder. It would trick us into thinking that it had corr...Expand for more
upted us, when in reality, it was what you truly desired. Now, I began to think, if we choose the side, then is it possible to choose all sides? All paths? Currently my answer is still no. The "sides" of the Force all contradict the others beliefs. But I do believe that, if it be what they wish, a good person can be a Dark Jedi; a corrupt person can be a Jed, if given the chance; the possibilities are truly endless. But know this: the Force is bigger than most will think. It may be a Force of higher dimensions, and maybe in it's true dimension and view, one can see the whole, the pure, the Force. "The Force is like a mirror; it reflects the person within you. Whether it be Dark, Light, Shadow, these are all a part of the whole puzzle, the Force." -Dark Lord Carnag Lesson 6: Emotion Although emotion is the one thing a Dark Jedi or Sith relies on, it is the most dangerous thing we possess. Emotion is not only powerful, but deadly. If one lets his emotions overtake him, he will find himself a dead man all too soon. As a dark sider, you must first learn to control your emotions before you can control the Force, because without that control, you become an easy target indeed.". More about Tyler:"Lightsaber Forms Form 1 - Shii-Cho This form consists of the basics of attack, parry, body target zones, and the practice drills called velocities. This form does not address lightsaber to lightsaber combat. Form 2 - Makashi This form ultimetaly refined the art of lightsaber to lightsaber combat, it produced some of the finest duelests to ever live. Form 3 - Soresu This form was created in response to the increasing technology with blasters throughout the universe. This form is best used for deflecting blaster fire, often times back at your opponent. It is rumored that no Master of this form has ever been defeated, but with the Jedi Extinction already executed, we know that to be false. Form 4 - Ataru This form is a form based heavily upon acrobatics. It incorporates all your abilities to run, jump, and spin with the use of the force. It is said that Yoda was a Master at this form, little did that do him when fighting Darth Sidious. Form 5 - Shien and Djem So This form came into play when Form 3 was deemed insufficient. Form Shien is focused purely on the lightsabers capability to block a blaster bolt, and effectively deflect it back at your opponent. Form Djem So is devoted purely to lightsaber dueling. A dedication to the power and strength necessary to defeat an opponent. Form 6 - Niman This form is a broad view of all other forms, it is less demanding physically and mentally. Most commonly used by members of the Late Jedi Council. It was known that with this form being less demanding a Jedi was able to focus more on perception, political strategy, and negotiation. When fighting a Sith, none of these traits matter. Form 7 - Juyo This form is the most difficult and demanding of all the forms. Only Masters of multiple forms can achieve and control this discipline, which can lead to ultimate power and fantastic skill. They say that Mace Windu and his former padawan Depa Billaba are among the only practinioners of this form, and even they acknowledge that it is a dangerous regimen and may cut close to the Sith intensity of focus on physical combat ability.".
