Tyrone's Story
Life
After graduation, I entered the Air Force as an weather equipment technician. My first assignment was to Japan for 3 years traveling throughout the Pacific as a Depot level technician, England for 3, Combat Communications in Florida deploying to Honduras and Canada (2x), Korea , TX for 1 year then retrained from electronics to Space Operations spending 3.5 years in GA, then back to Japan for 3 years and then to CA where I was fortunate enough to be on the cutting edge of technology as the Training Manager of a brand spanking new optical satellite tracking facility. I managed and did a large part of building the procedures and methods for the facility. I'm now retired from the Air Force living in OH. I had worked for an international company however, I recently quit when they started asking us to cheat our customers. Then not to lie to the but don't tell them the truth. I do have my integrity, which is worth more to me than that job. Married in '91 with 3 sons. I went back to college and graduated from DeVry University with honors in 2006 with a B.S. in Network and Communications Management. My next plan is to try entrepren...Expand for more
eurship. If it doesn't work, I guess I can always be the best burger flipper in the city or go back into retirement mode until I figure out what I want to do next.
School
I found after some years that I missed a lot of things about Mt. Healthy. Friends, Jeff Gray, Curt Terry and others capping on each other in the lunch room and some teachers. If I had to do it over again, I'd certainly study harder, be more outgoing, get involved more in activities and maybe even of tried out for baseball. One thing I've come to realize over the years are just about everyone you come in contact with classmates, teachers and friends, helps to shape who you are. I won't go into any specifics but there may be some that know what I'm talking about. One other thing I'd do different. I'D FIND OUT HOW THEY GOT THAT VOLKSWAGON ON TOP OF THE SCHOOL!!! If anyone remembers Mr. Young, the gym teacher back at North Jr. High, I was told by Mr. F. Betts, that he told his class I took the hardest swat he ever gave. So, if I do have a legacy at Mount Healthy City Schools, that's probably it. Besides, I had to take it, the reason for swatting me was bogus!!!
