Ursula's Story
Ok, so I used the Story Wizard...so if you are reading and think it is jumping around...it is...In a snap shot, I am a happy mother of Natalie, 8 and Ainsleigh 2, in love with a wonderful man, Rich, and a successful accountant. I live in Rhode Island and hate almost every minute of it. Someday the time will come to move back to MA, preferably the South Shore. Want to know anything else, drop me a line.
I always wanted to be a accountant when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.
Once upon a time I had the time to go to the gym and get in a great work out to end my day. Now, with 2 kids, a partner that travels all the time, and my absence from the house for 12 hours each day, I am lucky to eat dinner sitting down. My wind down time = housework...and the occassional girls night out.
I have faced any challenges in my life. My heros are the people who believe in children, see the good and inspire them to be better.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a family room. My dream home would be somewhere on the South Shore, I miss my home...
My children have taught me to not take things so seriously. Children are so innocent and naive, it is such...Expand for more
a blessing...they don't judge, they forgive, and accept people for who they are...when do we lose all that??? Most importantly they have taught me how to stop and enjoy the simple things in life.
I quit high school, blew off college, an partied for a few years. Soemwhere in there I met a wonderful man, my 1st husband. He inspired me to get it together. I went to jc and earned and as in business. Worked hard, went back to school, UOP, and got my BS in accounting while working full-time, caring for 1 child, and maintaining my home while getting divorced (CRAZY times). I am now the Controller of a medium sized CPA firm and LOVE what I do. I will be taking the CPA exam sometime in 2009 and will go back to school for my MBA.
What happened to my first crush...We are great friends. I never really stopped talking to him. He is married with 2 children and doing what he loves. I am really happy for him.
My life started out rough...school was tough...my whole adolence was filled with insecurty, inadequacy, my head held low...however, I would not do anything over. I really believe that everything happens for a reason. I am truly happy, have wonderful children, a wonderful fiance, great career, and would not change it for the world.
