Valerie's Story
Left the west coast for the mountains of Tennessee after a failed engagement (one month before the date!). Went to a HBCU in Nashville, TN, where in my last year of the Nursing program, fell in love with my life long partner of more than 30+years. We have 3 grown children, eldest lives in Nashville with her family of 2 girls and dog that thinks he's human. Son, who lives in Florida now with MD and MBA, graduated from Univ of KY. And the youngest finishing her last year at UTC in political science, married and mother of 2 sons. I work for Blue Cross which is something new for me as of 2008 after working for the competitioner for almost 20years until they decided to "restructure". Sara...Expand for more
Martinez and worked for the same company for years. It was definitely time for a change. After our 5oth birthday cruise, I'm hooked on cruises, with 2 scheduled this year to Jamaica and Alaska. Looking for another one for next year. Counting the next 4yrs and 8 months to retire so I can look at increasing my travels. I enjoy entertaining-we have fish fries. Husband goes to Alaska just about every year and bring back Halibut and Salmon. Freezers are always full with fresh catches. We travel alot, Texas, Florida, Virginia, Canada, Alabama, GA -most are great weekend get-aways!
