Valerie's Story
After graduation I got married and had my daughter. I got divorced after I moved back to Denver. I remarried and have been with him now for 25 years. My daughter got married and I have a grandson who is almost 19 years old now, going to Texas A&M.
I worked for the Denver Post for several years until I got married and moved to Houston. I worked for the Houston Post until we moved to Boston. I then worked for the Boston Globe Newspaper until I retired on Aug 2007. I was injured on the job in Dec 2003 and could not go back to work. My husband is also retired so it makes it nice that we are home together and are able to do and go where and when we want. We still live in Boston but wish to move back to Texas to be with our daughter. We come to Denver every now and then but not as much since my mother passed away in 2006. re and we come to see her. When we do I drive by the school to check it out and see how it has changed since 1968. It bring back memories when I do drive by. I miss the good times we all had.
Update of my profile:
My husband and I moved to Tomball, TX to be closer to our daughter and grandson in Sept of 2008. We moved into a very nice and large apt. In July of 2009 we took a long vacation up to Saratoga, NY and then to my sisters in Pittsford NY. My husband passed away when we were at my sisters home. I was a good trip for him and we had the best time. He was very happy.
I then in 2010 decided to buy a home here in Tomball, TX. I love the home and it feels as though I have lived here a very long time. Very comfortable. I miss my husband but I know he is with me always.
I think of everyone I know in school often and wonder what they are doing now.
