We have been married for 32 years. We have three sons. Each is six years older than the next. They are Mark, John and David. I know, you think since Russ is a preacher, that is why they all have biblical names. Wrong. Not that we mind that, however, Mark is after his dad, since I didn't want a junior. John is after my father's father since my dad had an awful first name! His middle name is Robert after his other grandpa, my uncle Bob, and his uncle Bob. We figured one of them would figure out it was for them. David, well, Russ picked that one. It suits him well. unds fulfilled a prayer I prayed when I was a 12 year old girl...that religious differences would never be a conflict for me. We're best friends and it has been the glue that holds us together during the tough times. His Grandpa Benton once told me that I reminded him of his Dorothy. I took it as a compliment. We have lived in Kirksville, MO., Hannibal, MO., Ft. Worth, Texas, Pierce City, MO., High Ridge, MO., Fenton, MO. and Arnold, MO. I am tired of moving. It is a great way to get rid of stuff you don't really need though. It's so easy to be burdened by too much stuff!!! I taught 2nd grade in Madison, MO., Special Ed. in New Cambria, MO, 2nd grade in Hannibal, MO., substitute taught in Ft. Worth, Texas. When we returned to Missouri, I taught Autistic kids for 4 years in Monett, MO. , I taught a range of non-ambulatory kids to severe behavior disordered at Mapaville, MO. Then I began to hurt, like a really bad case of the flu...normal, everyday stuff became exhausting. I have fybromyalgia. Had never heard of it until a doctor told me I had it. Symptoms much like MS, Lupus, and RA...all possibilities since they are all autoimmune diseases and just about everyone in my family has had one of the above and the doctor(s) still have not ruled out any of the above with difinity. I don't remember what it is like to not hurt. I don't remember how it feels to have energy! My list of chronic things keeps growing...seems like "good doctor" is an oxymoron! Well, they are practicing!! People keep telling me,"if you just met the right doctor things would get better..." I'm still waiting and praying...just coping one day after another.".
