Vanessa's Story
I joined the military, after going to UNO. Was married twice, oh well have three wonderful children ages 20,16, and 13, late starter. Now I am back in college at Delgado studying Business and I have started a non-profit organization for battered women in Plaquemines called THE GLASS HOUSE OF PLAQUEMINES. Over the years I have come out of my shell, I am very outspoken and I don't take anything back if I say it. I love people and talking with them. I am always finding ways to improve the parish here. satisfied with their way of life. Me I am always looking for improvement in our school system, everyday living and equal opportunity for everyone. So as you can see I do talk a lot once I get started that is it(smile). Relaxing is the key to success when it comes to being happy and here is how I do it, taking a long hot bubble bath, and that is not just for the movies it really is relaxing with a nice glass of wine. Close your eyes and imagine you are far away on a beautiful island, relaxing alone and reading a good book or watching a good movie while sitting outside on a porch.
