Vanessa's Story
I’’m still living in Alaska - Anchorage - since retiring from teaching in the Arctic. Up until the pandemic, I spent some time traveling, both domestic and foreign, as well as going to live concerts. I’ve been to New Orleans for Jazz Fest the past couple years, went to Kilkenny, Ireland last year to see Neil Young. Two years ago I went to see U2 in Belfast, Northern Ireland and prior to that Bob Dylan in Cardiff, Wales. tnam, England, Scotland. These days I spend my time reading, watching movies and trying my best to not to overwhelm myself listening to the news.
I like watching Saturday Night Live, the Walking Dead (yeah, I know), Seinfeld, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Americans, Berlin Station and anything with mystery and espionage. I love going to Broadway plays. NYC is one of favorite places to explore every year. I've gone at least once/twice yearly since 2002. I live with two cats and two dogs (an Alaskan malamute) and a Newfoundland.
