Velinda's Story
Hey Everyone....
It has been a long tme since I left Seattle and graduating from Glacier in 1970. Moved to Penna...tried to go to Penn State, but that all went down the tubes too. Guess some of us can handle college and some of us can't. So, ended up working as a waitress to start and than became a cook. Did both for awhile till I met my ex. Was married to him for almost 22 yrs. In that time...we did some traveling too and did end up in Minot North Dakota now. Lots has happened to me too....besides the divorce...am disabled now, due to diabetes. My feet are bad from bones crumbling away in them. But, am still walking since was told wouldn't be walking going on 15 yrs now. Am really surprizing the medical people with my bullheaded attitude. Also, am not as heavy as I was yrs ago too. Had had gastric by pass and lost over 200 lbs. It was really ashame how some of my school friends m...Expand for more
ade fun of me when growing up. But am doing a lot better now and like them to see the difference in me now. Funny thing is...good friend that I grew up with...we are in touch...asked me if I was really 56 now. Hey...what can I say...it is me!!!!! But has been divorced now for 13 yrs and doing quite well on my own and prove to a lot...disabled people can do things for themselves too!!! Don't know if this will show up...but will leave my email addy here. If it doesn't show up...just get a hold of me through classmates...am not a member yet. But sure would like to become one. Just when you live on an income a month...goes only so far!!! So. those who have signed my guest book...just post a note in my bulletin board, will get it there. Be wonderful to hear from some of you....it has been very many yrs too. Take care all...be awaiting to hear from some of you.
