Velva's Story
I have fond memories of Carlisle County High, especially participating in band and chorus and in the senior play. It took me about 49 years to check on classmates. I was beginning to think that it would take that long to respond to any inquiries. I am a proud aunt of 7 and great-aunt of 13. My late husband and I didn't have children. We had to borrow ours. =) That was easy, especially considering that I've been a teacher for almost 46 years. We enjoy(ed) our church family children, too. e and was for him. We participated together for 3 years as team captains. Since 2003, I have walked in memory of him and countless other friends and loved ones and in honor of many loved ones and friends who are cancer survivors. Fred walked in the survivor lap of the Relay just 3 weeks before he passed away. Our church family and our "kin families" sent us on an Alaskan cruise just after the Relay.
That's all that comes to mind today. I'll fill in the gaps another time. I'd be happy to answer reasonable questions.
