Ventura's Story
Ventura attended Edinburg High School. Joined the USMC and is a Vietnam veteran. Ventura later attended Pan American University, was a Lieutenant with the Edinburg Police, Investigation Section. He subsequently joined the US Border Patrol and was assigned to the Chula Vista Sector in CA. He was one of a handful of Agents hired by the US Federal Aviation Administration assigned to the Los Angeles, CA. 98, Ventura transferred to Monterrey, MX as the Agent in Charged, for the Office Of Investigations. In 2000, he returned to Starr County were he ran operations for ICE/HSI until his retirement in 2008. In 2010, Ventura was taken out of retirement and was 1 of 5 Special Agents rehired in the US. Ventura was the only one of the five to retrain for the purpose of retuning to MX, with addition duties to help train new HSI Agents, to include other Agents from South and Central American Countries.
