Vera's Story
Robert Salter and I have been married for 42 years. He's a bit older than me -- I guess you could say I robbed the craftmatic adjustable bed.
We've lived here in western NC since 1983 so I guess you could call our children -- three -- rebels. One graduated from Clemson, one from WCarolina, and one from UToledo who is atoning by getting a master's degree here at Appalachain. Considering their parents, they are moderately well adjusted.
Robert loves his work, plays a lot of tennis and worships his cars. Currently he has rebuilt a Cobra. If you want any details, you can ck. out his profile (Hudson Mass) which probably doesn't mention me. An oversight, I'm sure........or not.

myself amused as a full-time volunteer. I spend a great deal of time at our local mission and I count the poor among my dearest friends. I also hang out at our church a lot -- Grace Episcopal -- where I am the 163 Sr. Warden. I guess they figured that with everything else facing the denomination, a Yankee was the least of their worries.
I feel blessed to have entered my sixties unscathed from the Sixties and the upside down culture we lived thru. I carry a piece of everyone I've ever known, and everything I've ever experienced, around in my heart where prayer and love dance to a neverending melody.
