Life
Well, it's been so long since we graduated a lot has happened through the years. I married Jimmy Melton in 1964 we have two children, Eric who will be 40? this year; he lives and works in Germany with the military is married to a Eukranian woman. He has two boys, Alex is 20 and Tony is 18 they live in Alabama with their mom. My daughter Judy is 35 and has two children also. Shayla is 17 and Tanner is 12. She and her family live here in Caney Kansas just a couple of blocks from us.
Jimmy and I moved to Caney Kansas in 1979 and raised our kids here but we divorced in 1995 and I moved back to Brawley and Married Marcus Neuhaus (also class of 63) we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary this Sunday! Marcus was still a bachelor when we married and I am so glad he waited for me he is such a wonderful man and husband. Jimmy is remarried and lives about 50 miles from here so we see each other occasionally. Actually Marcus and I just moved back here in August when he retired from Holly Sugar after 40 years! change for him but he is loving it and anxious to plant a "BIG" garden. We have three city lots right on the edge of town which is about the size of Westmorland.
Right now I'm not working but plan on going to work around the first of March at a new bank that is being built here in town. So we hope to be in Brawley for vacation in February!
Well, it is now the end of March and I have been working at "Community National Bank" for over a month now and I love it. It is good to be back in this small town where I lived for 17 years and see all the people again and the president of the bank is a great guy that I worked with before and we have a great bunch of gals here also. (Well, not really a bunch, there are a total of 7 of us!)
Things are going good for us here in the midwest. We belong to the "First Baptist Church" and Marcus is helping to add on a "Family Life Center" while I am at work. He has really bad knees so isn't able to work for very long but is enjoying getting acquainted with the men here and he is looking forward to spring so he can get his garden planted!
