Verna's Story

Lived on New York Ave, went to Chase school, hung out at the Virginian Hamburg and the Yum-Yum, went to Teen Town at Riverside Park and the Swing Inn downtown. Best friends were Pat Hart and Marilyn Yeager. Worked at Jeep in the Information Systems Dept from 1953 to 1963. Got married in April of 1957 to Jack Rose from the Galena St area. Had 2 children 1 boy, Mark and 1 girl, Lisa. R...Expand for more
etired from Jeep after Lisa was born. Went back to work at Textile Leather in 1966, then got a job at Haughton Millar Elevator in 1980 and retired from there in 1999. Jack died of cancer in Oct of 2004. I went back to work for Doug Zajac of American Family Insurance and am still working. I live by Whittmer High School with my golden retreiver, Zeke. Love Country Western and gambling.
