Vernette's Story
I drive a school bus for special needs children ages 3 to 5 for the City of Bridgeport CT.
Jerry is my husband, he is a high school teacher here in Bridgeport.
We have 2 cats named Jasper an Snickers, and we have just completed the classes for foster care.
I have 2 step children and now have two step grand children. They all live in Nebraska.
We now have a 15 year old boy who name is Wyatt living with us. He is good boy who is between a rock and hard space. Mom in ill and in the hospital no father in the picture. No One in Ct accept Mom.
This is a picture of Jerry and myself taken last summer on a cruise from Portland Oregon. We stopped at St. Helen's.

t and then alot. We both had gastric bypass where I lost about 150 lbs. And Jerry lost almost 300 lbs. This is a big step for both of us but we are feeling alot energy and love our new selves. My new weight puts me in reach of the wieght at graduation from CCHS.
More updates. We hav been hard with alot of snow we now have about 30 inches on the ground and it is very cold.
In the middle of our lasted blizzard 2 weks ago we had a phone call for a new foster boy, His name is Jorge and once again a good kid that is between a rock and hard space. His Mom just threw him out of the house and will notlet him back in. He is involved with the theatre loves music, singing and acting. A Sophmore and can be a honors students at his high school.
