Vernon's Story
First I feel very fortunate to have so far been blessed with a very good life. My wife of 39 yrs Ginny and our two children Michaela 35 & A.J. 33 and as all of you that have grand children know, just a perfect grandaughter "Sidney" age 3 1/2 along with her dad our son-in-law Steve, they make everyday special. After H.S. I started college and began working. My first career was with New England Tel&Tel then a move to Maine in1975 and then a transfer to AT&T. Early retirement in 1992. I couldn't stand it. I then started my own company (Ver-Gin Enterprises) and started a small convience store chain. In 2002 I sold the stores and retired again. Again retirement wasn't for me. n went into the business of purchasing bank owned Commercial properties. In 2005 it was time again to retire. Ginny and I moved from central Maine to the North Georgia Mtns. on the Georgia Tenn. N. Car. border. We landed in the small town of Mineral Bluff. It's like living in New England without the harsh climate, but alas no nearby ocean. The seasons are all 90 days long and all are mild. Now Ginny & I travel and enjoy our good fortune, and old & new friends. NOW retirement is what we enjoy and want. I also hope to reconnect with old classmates and R.I. friends, so I hope you contact me so we can catchup and share what life has sent our way.
