Vernon's Story
Life
Life after high school was interesting for me. Like a leaf, I didn't know where I would end up. A college counselor told me that I would make a good garbage man. At least thatÂs what the entry test told him. I ended up going to college and now work in the field of cardiology. From garbage man to working on hearts. Never underestimate the power of desire and attitudeÂ

Life later showed me that I was ready for marriage and kids. I am now married, living in Big Sky Country, Montana. Life is good here. There are some very boring parts of Montana and some incredible, unbelievable sites as well. It is a great place to raise kids and to enjoy all 4 seasons.
What do I miss about Washington? The Puget Sound. The smell and the beauty and all the things I took for granted as a kid. Mos...Expand for more
t of all, I miss my best friend, my dad. My father passed away in July 2000. He was 64. His colon cancer was advanced when they found it, he didnÂt have a chance. I miss him dearly.
As for now, I am moving forward, enjoying life, building memories with my kids and making the best of the time I have left.
Workplace
I work part time as a Cardiovascular Tech in a Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab. We fix heart rhythm problems in various ways. We also fix coronary arteries.
I also work Per Diem for GE Medical Systems. About one or two weeks per month, GE sends me to sites where I help others to learn how to use their GE Medical Computer systems. It's fun doing cases with Dr's and techs, getting paid to go to places I've never been to.
I like traveling and I like being home. It's a great combo.
