So who would have guessed that I ended up as a computer geek? Not me, certainly. While in school in Massachusettes, strongly pursuing a career in modern dance, I was sidelined by an injury. I floundered for the next 7 or 8 years, until I found a job in San Francisco managing a personned company.
Well, they were NOT very organized, and I started writing simple programs for them to automate their processes. -- This was the early 90's in Silicon Valley, so you HAD to be proficient at computers -- or at least be a very good faker :).

Next thing you know, I'm doing all kinds of programming -- in Unix no less -- trying to bring them into the 20th century. They're still waiting (No, really, it's a great hospital. Had both kids there.)
After burning out in the medical field, I tried a mortgage company and Capital One. In between, I got married, and my husband started his own organizational development and business consulting company. We very quickly learned that there was a need out there for MY services, too, and I created the "technology division" of DVD Consulting Incorporated. Nine years later, we're still going strong. And I love being my own boss -- even if it means I work Saturdays!
