Veronica's Story
"Happy Holidays"
Finally a chance to post. It Was a wonderful trip to Wi., drove there again so I could take time to visit friends/family in/around Milwaukee area. Even had a chance to visit with a few of SDHS classmates- good to spend time with them and reminisce. Then headed up north to visit son in Manitowish Waters, he's reconstructing a lake property, it was quite the adventure. I'ts so
isolated, but the scenery/sunsets and just being with family was great karma. Also, had a chance to see and visit 2 of the 3 grandkids, that live in Wi. After 2 weeks +, flew to Montana to see daughter and husband. Grandson just recently enrolled for 3 yrs of law school in Winston Salem, N.C.., after graduating in Utah and working in Acctg.. Granddaughter now living in Spain for now, taking up diving and traveling alot in Europe after 4 yrs, if college of kinesology, hasn't quite found the suitable career for herself. Proud of all 5 of them.
I had the chance to go to Spain ?Croatia/Italy, with my daughter and son-in-law, but opted to stay 2 more weeks to pet sit (1-dog -2 cats - 65 + indooor plants and house for them. Had a week + before they left to enjoy their company. They took me to Upper Yellowstone and surrounding areas, site seeing/driving. What a beautiful area, have been around there before but always a site you can enjoy. Explored other areas around there also, plus where they are
building 2 homes in Livingston area. Flew back to Appleton/Manitowish Waters, stayed a few days , back to Milw. (41/5 hrs,, stayed to do some errands and headed bac...Expand for more
k to N.C., stayed in Metropolis, Il,. and then through the Smokey Mts. to stay in Cherokee., N.C. This was in Oct.
and the Fall colors were extraordinarily beautiful, Pictures still can't capture the true beauty in the Mountains there. Had great weather for driving this time, Just one slight mishap, a cracked windshield and a few close calls of drivers trying to cut in and out, so thankful for a safe enough trip. That's the only problem nowdays, so much traffic on the roads, anytime of the day. Will take driving over flying though, love to see all & expierience the changes over the years.
Now back in N.C., ,still missing my Florida, and hope I will be able to get back there or somewhere else where I can enjoy more of my lifestyle like Venice was. It has been good getting to know my older sister (only one I have-Graduated in 60") , we hardly saw each other after high school. so the rebonding is good. Will see what happens this next year, time and
health/etc will be deciding factors. At this stage I still have a lot on my bucket list to fill.
