Veronica's Story
Life
After high school I took a year off and did absolutely
nothing. Soon after I started working at USAA, my supervisor at the time ,Ron Willard (a great man) suggested I go to college. I took a 2yr Dental Assisting course at SAC. At the end of my 2yr term I had to leave USAA to complete my externship at Kelly AFB. After performing oral surgery, I knew this was not a career for me (I almost fainted in the office), oh well. oved to Denver Colorado for a few weeks. I returned home to SA and got divorced, in 1992 had my daughter Natalie. I now work for USAA again and plan to retire from there, god willing. I attended our 25th high school reunion, and little did I know I would meet my Future husband there. I am now happily engaged to Mark Ortiz and look forward to sharing the rest of our lives together.
