Vic's Story
Hello All,
I was looking at the names and seeing just how many I could remember right off the bat without thinking. I left right after HS and joined the Army in August of 74. As you may remember I was then engaged to Pat Grande and I joined to proof her dad wrong that I was serious. However it did not workout and Pat and I went our separate ways in 75. I was stationed until 77. There is where I met my wife ( now ex) after 21 years. I then went to Ft Knox for 2 years then got stationed to Berlin Germany until 82. There I got sick and found out that I had Crohns Disease. I got sent back via the Army Hospital plane and wound up at Walter Reed in Washington D.C. We manage to have one child while in Berlin in 80. d named her Jessica. So I got busy and went back to school and got my degree in Criminal Justice. I've been working in a Community Corrections setting for 29 years. I'm currently a case manager in a Non-Residential program and also do risk assessments on jail offenders in a work release program to be placed on GPS tracking unit that we also oversee. I got divorced in the years 2001 after being married almost 22 years. I've gotten really lucky and have met someone else who is in my same line of work and we've been together 14 years. The ex and I went separate ways in 99. Her choice. HAHA! I now have 10 grand kids and another one one the way. I've been back home a few times since I left and see a few people but have not been back since 04. I love it here in Colorado. A beautiful state and wide open space. Thats about it in a nut shell all be it brief.
