Vicki's Story
Life After BCHS: I was off to Missoula and St. Patrick School of Nursing after graduation. When I finished college, I was married and moved to Spokane to work as an RN and enjoy life as an Air Force wife. Soon it was another move to California and I have been here ever since. I have been working for the last 30 (plus) years as an emergency room nurse and training paramedics for the California Fire Departments and Law Enforcement Agencies. i and her husband Garrett live in Redding, north of Sac. Shawn works as a firefighter/paramedic for the City of Sacramento. Shawn and his wife Teshe just had a sweet baby girl. Kevin, 21, lives at home with me. He has completed the Fire Academy and Paramedic School and is following in his brother's career path. Currently I am the EMS Officer for the local Fire Department. Yes, even at my age I am dressed in full attire and responding to 911 calls on an engine and teaching firefighter/paramedics. I still love snow skiing and have taken up golf!! What a life.
