Vicki's Story
Life
After I left Azusa I went to a school on Ontario. After I graduated, I went into the Air Force. It was a great experience for me. I traveled quite a bit, to Honduras, Korea & the Azores. I spent spent 1 year in Texas, 1 in Korea, 3 in Florida and 3 in California at March AFB. I got out of the AF when my son Timmy was 6 mo. I went to school to become a nurse, decided I couldn't deal with blood and stuff, went back to school for Culinary Arts and Food and Beverage Management. That was a few years ago, now in 2004, after a life of way too much time away from my son I have left the events business and completed my nursing school. I am now a ortho/med/surg nurse in Hemet California, about 25 miles from my home in Riverside.
Now, in 2007 I am still an orthopedic medical/surgical nurse and loving it. It's hard work and sometimes sad, but always rewarding. I am currently working on my BS degree in nursing. I am currently a LVN (licensed vocational nurse) when I finish my BSN and state boards I will be a RN. My future goal is to be able to teach nursing.
