Vicki's Story
After graduating from Austin HS, went to UTEP where I majored in Vocal Performance. Moved to California in 1975 and married James Ewart (Coronado alum) in 1976. Followed the fleet for 6 years while completing my music degree and ended up back in California. Have sung in many choirs and opera companies across the country, including Virginia Light Opera, Virginia Opera Association, Idaho State University Opera, Pacific Repertory Opera, Oakland Symphony Chorus, Cuesta Master Chorale, North County Baroque Ensemble (Assistant Conductor) and currently sing in an elite women's group called "Canzona" in San Luis...Expand for more
Obispo, CA. I have one daughter who is currently in school studying to be a physical therapist and have been married to James for 33 years (Whew!). Although music is my first love, I have made my living working in the field of finance and am currently the CFO for an electrical contractor here on the central coast of California.
I always wanted to be an opera singer when I grew up.
My family and friends thought that was a stupid idea. As it turns out, they were only partly right.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Mr. Bode, because I always thought he was an awesome teacher.
