Vicki's Story
After high school I graduated from Meredith College in Raleigh. I spent some of my leisure college hours in Chapel Hill (yea Tar Heels !) dating Ben Butler. We married June 1973 just after May graduations. That same month we moved to Myrtle Beach to open a branch of his family's electrical supply business. I taught elementary school for a few years before having babies. Then it was back to work teaching preschoolers at out church's school. I taught those little ones for 14 years and loved every minute of it!
For the last few years I have been working in the lighting showroom business. Guess you would say Ben...Expand for more
is the numbers person and I am the promotions/sales person. I love working with my husband. Sounds crazy, but it's true. Well, he lets me have time off whenever I want :). I really like being a small part of the business world and meeting people who are building new homes or those seeking decorating advice.
Our two sons are fabulous and we will gladly tell anyone who wants to know everything about them at the reunion. Ben looks forward to passing the business on to one or both of the boys, so we can travel more and he can play more golf. Remember, he is in Myrtle Beach and all of his friends play golf!
