Vicki's Story
Once I left high school, I went off to further my education at U.S.C. I vowed never again to live in a small town - that is until I met Craig, my husband. We got married in 1980 and moved to a smaller town than Merced! We have lived ever since in Brawley, which is in the desert 30 miles away from the border of Mexico and California. Our son is 25 and our daughter is 21, so we are empty-nesters at this point in our lives. My husband is a farmer and I teach 2nd grade. I hope to retire when I am 55, in about 4 years. I love to travel, especially on cruise ships. I love being able to unpack one time and visit many different places along the way. I still love to read, party, and shop!
