Life Greetings fellow class mates from days gone by! I moved to the South in 1992; yet I am still a midwest girl at heart. Not long after my move to NC; I divorced and joined the forces of "single parenting"-(yep you see the photo- 7 treasures) I have actually been a single parent more than a married parent which has been challenging YET very interesting. I count it a privilege to be a parent; and I thank God for entrusting these dear treasures to me for the duration...WOW It GOES SO FAST! BEING a Culturally blended family is ALSO a BONUS!!! In my Pictures...you will see all seven blessings; My eldest three children are adopted from Haiti...and 4 birth kids! 3 boys and 4 girls... I currently work in the non-profit sector - Lutheran Family Services of the Carolinas in Refugee Resettlement. I enjoy working with the immigrant population in Job development and assist these individuals with attaining self-sufficiency. I find it rewarding and an honor to work with this population of "new comers" to our community. I love to travel and I have had the opportunity to do quite a bit of international travel. I just returned from an 11 day trip to Israel in Nov 2007...It was the trip of a lifetime and a spiritual blessing beyond words! Outside of my travels; I also lived in South Africa from 1996-1998 which is another long story in itself; yet I would not trade the experience for anything...I think my children would agree.
