Vickie's Story
I worked for a few years and then stayed home to handle family responsibilities. I did perform publicly for a while on the piano. Maybe I will be doing that again soon. I had a little radio program, and I currently operate a true not for profit. We used to own a little engineering company but who really builds anymore?. I have the usual crafts; the loom, knitting, the garden in non drought years, and for a while also worked as a graphic artist and sold some fine art. I seem to have to always stop those things for responsibilities though.
The kids are grown so I am now a full time student. I hope to get a masters in archival work. I figure old people will get hired to be stuck in a room to organize things so I might as well have a higher degree for glorified filing. I am also pondering being a certified genealogist. I might as well get paid for one service that I generally provide free for people.

r that decided to run into him at work. He found forced retirement extremely boring so I don't think that is something I want to do either.
We have three children, a son and identical twin girls. They multiplied and now we also have six grandchildren and one great grandson. We have been married for 45 years.
Where I live we have lakes that used to have fish in them. They are mostly dry lakes this year and from the smell of what is left of the lakes the fish are long gone. Maybe next year we will get rain again.
If we are lucky we will buy a ranch up here in the mountains and hope that it doesn't have too many rattlesnakes and bears that come with it. It is great to live up here, even in a drought year that followed a forest fire that stopped in our backyard. I hope that this part of California can stay nice for many more years. After living in Los Angeles and Thousand Oaks we really appreciate where we live and do not miss the crime and congestion at all.
