Vickie's Story
Hi I'm Vickie (Gillespie) Dobson. I've been married almost 10 years. (this time)
I was the skinny geeky kid who loved to dance. I hung out with Judy Prater, Brian Benson, and his sister Karen. Other names escape me now.
I always just wanted to be a Mom, but that wasn't the way things worked out after all, so I don't have any children. My husband's name is David and he is a high school Social Studies teacher.
To blow off steam we have several things we enjoy. The one thing we really love is to go fishing, and I love to sing. I am in 3 different groups at my church.
After leaving El Paso the first time I moved to the Dallas Fort Worth area where my ex was stationed at the Naval Air Reserve Station. Then we moved to Fort Hood, Texas. I came back home single and then re-married and moved to Odessa, TX. Left there-single- re-married and moved to Germany for a little over 3 years came home divorced again remarried for 9 months then divorced again. I am now married to MR. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Judy Prater or Brian Benson, because I'd like to know how their lives have been..Hudy because we lost track and Brian because he was my first...love
We have 3 four legged kids. A 7 yr old Cocker Spaniel, a 9 yr. old black cat and a 4 yr. old blck cat. They are our children since I lost both of ming over 35 years ago. They really add joy to our lives.
In the last 10 years I have had 2 strokes, and I'm 100% disabeled. I function pretty good, I just have some neurological problems, and at this point they can't be fixed. David and my faith have pulled me through. David loves me unconditionally and I am so blessed to have him in my life.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 15% of it to my church, then spend the rest on my husband and I, people who deserve it and family.
My current age is 57. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be looing at the roots. I was so completely wrong.
