Vickie's Story
Life
Our life as we know it Washington style! We love boating, kayaking, traveling, camping, hiking and usually can be seen whale watching alot! The boys are both in high school now, and growing like weeds.
We've had several changes in our life in the past year.... we celebrated 23 years of marriage last month! In Feb 08 we went to Hawaii for a week and had a great time. Planning to return soon for two weeks if the chance comes.
Our boys are moving into adulthood. My oldest is 20 now, and working for Boeing now. My youngest is working on finishing high school, albeit a year behind. He is 19 now.
My niece on my husband's side has become my 3rd child... she is expecting her first child in August 2011... I'm her birthing coach, and will be sort ...Expand for more
of an adopted gramma. The father of the child isn't involved but we will give this child a family! It is a boy and we are very excited about it!
We have decided to stay in the house we've been in for the past 20 years. It's small, and we know it well... just had to completely have the kitchen redone with a major pipe break this past winter, so the insurance afforded us this fun!
Our summer is spent whale watching as much as possible in the San Juan Islands. Am looking into possible naturalist work unless I'm called upon to do some baby care! We just go with the flow with this family... our lives ebb and flow like the tide, and we just kind of follow along and fill in where we are needed in life. Nothing big really! We keep it simple and fun.
