November 11, 2010, My mom passed away this morning after a 27 year battle with Cancer. She was sleeping comfortably when she went to her place in heaven. We are grateful for all the years we had her and are now happy she is at peace with the Lord. 2010 Been a busy year even the resession has cut back work and income for everyone. Went to Hong Kong in Nov of 09 and it took a couple months to get back to normal after that. Lots of traveling and jet lag about did me in. lol Had a wonderful holiday with the family. Drove Dennis' Uncle back to Oklahoma after his visit here in March and got to meet Dennis OKEY family for the first time. Had a wonderful visit then Flew to Dallas another 1st, to visit Cyndi Behee Wong and her awesome husband John. They showed me all around the area and we had a wonderful visit. Dennis and I are planning to go there in Spring of 2011 to visit and possibly buy land for our retirement. June we had a great family outing to our property in Williams AZ for our big birthday bash we do every year with the whole gang, we have about 10 birthdays in 3 months so we do one big weekend celebration. It is always a great time. Kids saw the Grand Canyon for the first time it was great. End of June my sister Pam and her husband and Dennis and I went to Alaska. Our cousin has been in Anchorage for over 40 years so we took advantage of their hospitality and the gave us a private tour all over. It was so beautiful and green. I expected snow everywhere. It is Alaska anyway what else would you expect. haha! August wasn't the best for me this year. We found a lump in my breast and had to have it removed and radiation. Wasn't fun but got it taken care of and now I am Cancer free and they say there is a .01% chance of it coming back, if ever. September we celebrated our 41st anniversary quietly cuz I was still recovering. October we took a road trip in the motorhome to Albequerque New Mexico for the Balloon Fiesta. Had a wonderful time and got lots of pix which are posted on facebook with most of my other pix. Planning Thanksgiving in Las Vegas at my sisters this year. We had to place mom in a healthcare home because she was just getting to be too hard for dad to take care of. He is not too happy about having to make the decision but it was for the best. The people at the home are wonderful to her and will bring her to us for the Holiday. So we will all be together again at least once more. It will be a bitter sweet holiday and we will make the best of it for everyone. Well if I don't get back to write before the end of the year hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday Season. Merry Christmas and Happ New Year 2011 Well we just added another Baby Boy to Our Family. Our Grandaughter Betsy saftely delivered her second son - 9lb 1oz 21", Morgan Jacklson on Sunday Dec. 6th 2009 at 6:30 pm. Our daughter, Jamie(Betsys mom) and I were very lucky to be invited to participate in the home birth. Betsy chose to have her baby in a birthing tub with a midwife in attendance.
