Vicky Firkins:  

Life Married 37 years as of 2017 to a fellow MT Grad (Dean Firkins 76). We had 3 kids, a daughter and two sons (Our youngest son was a proud Marine but was killed in a non-war related, stateside situation in 2008) and now two grandsons. I have sang in a variety of bands off and on for over 40 yrs since age 15. I am most proud of my past involvement with worship band 'Track Five' and my various volunteer capacities at Church since the late 1990's. (No longer since 2013). I've been in the band 'Mannix' for over 30 years past and present. In late 2015, started working out an acoustic guitar duo act with my husband Dean. Our stage name is 'Sound Mind' and we have a FB page /soundmindacousticduo. I have had an interesting variety of jobs over the years and had lived in the same home for 20+ years in the Midland area of Tacoma, WA where we raised our family. School Lived In Tacoma, Wa. from 3rd-10th (Arlington, Gray JH, & Mount Tahoma HS). Then my family moved to a military base in Missouri where I also attended voch school there near the HS for computer programing and secretarial skills. I returned to Tacoma shortly after graduating from Waynesville Sr Hi. I got an office job, and a co-worker talked me into attending a finishing and modeling school with her in Seattle in 1975. I've taken various classes at Clover Park Tech School in Tacoma in accounting, billing, computer repair and airline computers.
