Victor's Story
After high school, enrolled in Penn Center Academy in Philadelphia to try to raise grades in an attempt to be accepted in college. Decided to enlist in US Navy in 1969, went thru boot camp in Great Lakes and was sent to USS James C Owens DD 776 in Charleston SC for first duty station. After short training stint in Cuba, left Atlantic Ocean, thru Panama Canal to San Diego, and then to new home port at Pearl Harbor. 1970 received orders to Viet Nam, served till december and returned back to Hawaii.

y, Ca, then on to UC Davis to receive degree in Agriculture. Went to work at Bruce Church, Inc, large private farming company in Salinas, Ca. After 18 years in seed breeding/genetics and seed production, left to start Paragon Seed, Inc. to specialize in lettuce seed genetics and farming/seed production. Sold corporation in 2007 to Bayer.
Married Cindy in 1975, a registered nurse. We have five children, Kira (married with 3 children), John (married) , Julie maried with 2 children , Kate and Alyssa. I play golf once a week, enjoy travel and the outdoors.
