Victor's Story
Graduated from Woodrow Wilson Jr. High in 1953 and San Jose High School in 1956. Went to San Jose State '56-
57, then joined the U.S. Air Force in 1957. I was a Russian linguist, studied Russian at the then Army Language School (now the Defense Language Institute) in Monterey, CA for 11 months, then to a classified school at the National Security Agency at Ft. Meade, MD, then served 2 years in Japan. Back to San Jose State 1961-1963. Joined IBM in late 1961 and retired from there in 1991. Married Midge Jangrus in 1958, 3 children: Cindy, Vic Jr. and Kelly. Have 4 grandchildren: Shaun, Steven, Quinten and Abbey. Divorced from Midge in 1988. Married Sheila Riordan in 1988, worked at IBM HQ 1989-1991. anager for 2 real estate firms before starting Madden Relocation Services in 2000. Currently live in Pebble Beach, CA. Have been in most states, plus England, Ireland, France, Monaco, Italy, Japan, Cayman Islands. Started country line dancing in mid-90's, have learned over 2,000 dances (have forgotten most of them) and have choreographed a few. Began playing senior softball in 1998, have played over 1700 games since. My teams have won 2 national championships, several state and Northern California championships and many local tournaments. Was selected to Softball Players Association All-America team in 2008. I like to stay in contact with former classmates from both Woodrow and San Jose High. Chaired San Jose High 50-year reunion in 2006 and am chairman of our 55-year reunion in 2011.
