Victor's Story
...After surviving SVHS (small miracle)!
General....
Worked a variety of jobs and went back school (UAB). Discovered a passion for computers and software development. Married in the mid 1980s. Divorced in the late 1980s. Stayed single for a number of years. Moved to Pensacola Beach for a while. Reunited with my childhood sweetheart in the mid 90s and moved back to Birmingham (i.e. got engaged). What was I thinking -- leaving the beach? Married in 1997.
Work....
I have worked in technology (software) for most of my career. Worked for BellSouth in BHM/ATL as a developer and manager. Worked for a software company in the Netherlands named SEAGULL covering North America. My focus was delivering/managing professional services engagements for Fortune 500 companies. Also, owned my own software development company for a few years...Expand for more
. Now, I work for IBM as a Senior IT Specialist covering the WebSphere brand for Americas Southeast Region and Puerto Rico. My wife is a nurse at UAB.
Location....
We live in Birmingham. We do not have kids (no clue how that happened)! Two dogs (Golden Retriever and an old Lab), a cat and a Koi pond.
For fun....
I love the water, scuba diving and boating. Always looking for scuba buddies! Hope to finish Dive Master status in 2009. Certified in Open Water/Advanced Open Water, Boat, Nitrox, Wreck, Deep Dive, Night Dive/Low Viz, Navigation and currently working on Rescue Diver. Hold SSI and PADI Certs.
