Victoria's Story
Life
Since High School I: Went to school for Interior Design. During my studies I took a term over-seas in England. I studies Design there and lived in a flat in London. London was a blast. Also took some weekend trips while I was there. I went to Scotland, France and around England. Living over-seas puts a whole new perspective on life. After finishing college I got married and moved to Chicago. There was another culture shock compared to Stillwater. Chicago is a great place to live when you are without children. We lived in Wicker Park right on the park. A little slice of greenery in the ocean of steel and concrete. After 4 years of Chicago life we moved back to Stillwater. property in the country. We now have 3 kids that enjoy the country life. About 3 years ago I started my own Interior Design business. A year after that I added custom cabinetry. I purchased an old building 2 blocks from my kids school and am slowly remodeling it for my office and showroom. I love what I am doing and living in the country.
Recently I have gotten into "Green" design and products. I was involved in building the 1st LEED certified home in the state of Wisconsin. I am currently working with a builder to build a GreenBuilt certified home (WI green certification program). If you love nature, our country and your money, green living is the way to go. Any change you can make in the way you live that can help save resources and energy is a Good thing in my book.
