It's so good to be alive in this great era! RETIREMENT! I don't know what I'm talking about actually since I never had to work and when I did it was something I loved doing (ESL Sec in an elementary school). I really lucked out that my husband has always had a job and taken really good care of our family. I ended up with eight children (5 girls and 3 boys) They in turn have given us twenty-one grandkids (12 boys and 9 girls). My husband retired from the post office after 33 yrs and still serves in the Army Reserves as an instructor of combat medics. Currently he is more active duty than not and is gone most of the time. He's also an LPN...SO I keep asking him what he wants to be when he grows up. He should be done with the Army in about a year and then we will pursue a mission for the LDS Church (Mormon). We rarely get back to La Verne since my parents are both gone. Our family is pretty much local (Salt Lake City) and we love our family get togethers. So, in a nut shell, life has been good to me which is not to say that it's been perfect. We've had our share of heartbreaks, you know the kind you have when your kids go astray or have major car accidents (that's another story for another time). After 38 yrs of marriage there's not much that we sweat anymore! Best wishes to all!
