Victoria's Story
For some reason I have two profiles. Hmmmm.... perhaps that has something to do with me being a Gemini. Here's an updated version of my story:
I lived in California for 21 years. Retired from the City of Roseville after 17-1/2 years as a purchasing agent in 2007. Moved to Eugene, OR because my daughter lives here and also I always wanted to live in the Pacific Northwest. I love rain and this is the place to be for that. Plus, I was getting sick of the 100+ temps in the Sacramento Valley. I'm looking at maybe moving back to Kansas in the next few years if/when my son produces a grandchild. (But no pressure on him). Tiffany won't be having children since she has MS and it zaps her of most of her energy.
I have two children, Tiffany Is 37 and Mikey is 35. (I named Mikey after the kid on the Life cereal commercial). I have eight grandchildren - all have paws. No two-legged ones...yet. My daughter lives in Eugene as I mentioned above and my son lives in Wichita. He's a storm chaser and has received national acclaim. He has a website - loadedgunchasing.com. Or you can google him - Mikey Gribble. He's really good at forecasting and is very passionate about his hobby. I'm a proud momma. In fact, if your in the KWCH viewing area you've probably seen and/or heard him on TV.
I am not married. I tried that twice ...Expand for more
and it just didn't work out. I have two dogs and one cat (that I will claim). Dogs are Gus and Stanley, and cat is Hootie. They are sweet and their momma loves on them all the time.
I bought a house when I moved to Eugene. It's small but comfortable. I have made a lot of changes and improvements. I enjoy doing stuff myself and will only hire a contractor if I absolutely don't have the confidence to do it myself. I probably have more tools than a lot of guys. I'm a woman with tools and I know how to use them!
I was pretty shy throughout junior high and high school, but blossomed my first year in college. Maybe it had something to do with getting my hair cut off. Who knows? Anyway, my dad was an alcoholic and my mom was addicted to valium. I didn't want people to know. I wish I hadn't worried so much about what people would think and say back then. Nowadays, I'm smarter and know that all families have their skeletons. If someone has a problem with that, screw 'em, they don't deserve to be a part of your life. Needless to say, I have a lot more self-esteem these days. I did a "life training" thing called Impact Training about 20 years ago. It totally changed my life. I realized that we're all truly brothers and sisters, we all have "stuff" in our lives and we all want basically the same things.
