Vikkii's Story
After high school I attended the American College for the Applied Arts in Westwood, CA, studding Fashion Design. I continued my education in Miami, Fl at the International Fine Arts College where I obtained a BA in Fashion Design.
Just before graduation, I was recruited to work for Club Med designing theatrical costumes for their off broadway shows at various clubs around the world. The pay sucked, however, I had the fortunate opportunity to enjoy my two passions, designing and travelling.
After Club Med I did more travelling before moving back to South Pas where I opened my own business, Costume Gallery, designing Costumes which eventually lead me to my dream job/jobs working in the entertainment industry as a Wardrobe Stylist and ultimately, achieving my dream of attending the Academy Awards (Oscars).
After hanging up my needle and thread, I went to work for Walt Disney Imagineering (first desk job) working on the Tokyo D...Expand for more
isneySea project. It was by far one of the most rewarding jobs I have had to date; and would like to believe that I would still be working for Disney had I not met the love of my life.
I have been living in Leicester, England for the past 15 years with my husband, Nick and our two daughters, Katie, (2004), Sammie, (2005) and our Cocker spaniel, Coco.
We live a good life here in England, and enjoy the simplicity that England offers as well as the flexibility of travelling the continent, which we have benefited from thoroughly.
Our daughter Katie has just started school, Foundation, which is equivalent to our Kindergarten, in September of 2008, and Sammie will follow her big sis this September (2009).
I am currently a housewife and at home mum and enjoying it 100%. I am also in the process of writing my first cookbook for the UK market and making the necessary preparation for our big move to California in the summer of 2010.
