Vincent's Story

What's up everyone, I was just looking through classmates and seeing all the names of the people I went to school with just brought back some fond memories of times past. I married my high school sweetheart from Tennyson she was in the class of 1984 her name back then was Abi Roble , it's funny because we both grew up in the same nieghborhood , in fact just down the street from each other in the Palma Ceia area off Tennyson Rd. We are still married in fact we will celebrate our 27TH year together this June as well as our 25TH wedding aniversary this June, we have been together since the summer of 1981. We have four kids 2 boys( Vinny Jr. 25yrs.old and Donovan 16yrs.old) and 2 girls(Monica 24yrs.old and Ashley 21yrs.old) our three oldest have blessed us with 5 grandkids already and one more is due at the end July . Vinny Jrs. 6yr old son is named Eli, Monica's daughter is named Giada and is 1yr 6months old and she is expecting a new baby girl this July and her name will be Jordan Arianna, and our baby girl Ashley is trying to match up with us , you see Abi and I had 3 little ones right out of high school in fact Vinny Jr. was born while I was a Senior and Abi was a Junior at Tennyson we both ended up Graduating from Mohrland Continuation in Hayward instead of Tennyson but we still consider ourselves part of Tennysons Alumni. Well anyway back to Ashley she has 2 boys Armando Jr. 4yrs.old and Evan 1yr 7months old and her baby girl Genevieve (we call her Genna) and she is 6 months old. We moved out of Hayward in 1991 and landed in Modesto , we liked the slow pace of the valley for our kids because let...Expand for more
's face it Hayward was getting bad. I work for Tracy Chevrolet as the Internet Sales Manager, this marks my 15TH year in this field and I really enjoy what I do . I have sold vehicles to old friends and old Principals (Mr. Pipkin) the Principal when I was at Tennyson bought a brand new Mazda pick-up truck from me when I was working at Hayward Mazda back in 1993, and get this he traded in his Gold 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback with a Boss Engine for it . If I only knew what that Mustang would be worth back then I would have bought it directly from him because we only gave him $1000 dollars for it . Abi has been able to be a stay at home mom never having to leave the kids with babysitters and now she does the same for our kids who have homes of their own and since things cost so much more today both parents have to work. It is so cool to see the names of kids we went to school with on Classmates website from elementary at Ruus School , to La Vista Junior High , and ending up at Tennyson High, when you think back you can't help but say those were the best days of your life , just going to school hanging out with friends and not having to worry about grown up stuff yet , I really did have a great time in my youth . I am truly blessed for having known some very cool people throughout life , and now that I get to see things from a older perspective I hope that my kids have the same feelings about their school memories , well I have to get back to work now , I have to leave early today to make sure I get to my grandsons baseball game tonight at 7:00pm. Thanks Everyone for the good times and the memories.
