Workplace Currently I am retired!!!!! My last day of work was August 11th, however, my official retirement date is August 31st. It is the most wonderful feeling that I have ever had. I didn't know it could feel so very good. My son called me on August 12th and asked how I felt. I told him I felt wonderful. He said no, how does it feel to be retired, my comment to him was, when you have been on a really good vacation but you know that you will have to go back to work and your are dreading it. There is no more dread. It feels wonderful. I am truly looking forward to the next chapter of my life. I am now getting ready to add another chapter to my life. I retired on August 31, 2004 and as of this past Monday June 26, 2006 I will be going back to work as a 911 dispatcher on a very limited part-time basis. They called me and asked if I would come back and help since they were so short handed.
