Virginia's Story
hello all..i now live in grand junction colorado,... have since march 2005 when i moved my mom and daughter here from vero beach florida..i am back in school at mesa state college... ...Hurricanes Jean and Frances in sept. 2004 did a number on my home in VERO BEACH, florida ,and kind of gave me the kick in the butt i needed to get out of there. I am proud and so thankful to God that i am a cancer survivor 11 years now,periodically i sell on Ebay...and as always love blasting 60's music and dancing to the beat! i miss my brother HARRY terribly...he is pictured here with me in some of my photos. His suicide in sept. 1998 due to bipolar disorder [2 months after i was diagnosed with uterine cancer ]knocked me on my butt and prompted me to leave East Taunton in 2001....Expand for more
.. with my mom and daughter.guess i was looking for a geographical cure as we sometimes do in the face of tragedy..im still missing/grieving my mom ..she died in feb 2006....but days are getting better.. I think what would really surprise everyone is that DESPITE HOW I LOOKED...pretty and all that...i was terribly self conscious and insecure ..definitely did not feel on the inside how i looked on the outside. if i had one wish now,even though it sounds like a cliche'...,,ESPECIALLY at this time of my life..ALTHOUGH IT SOUNDS LIKE A CLICHE....it would be that no animal or person would ever be cold , hungry or homeless...ALSO.. i wish that i would have been far less serious in high school and more lighthearted and outgoing!I I live alone out here with my daughter..
