Sometimes I think technology rules my life. I exist with a smart phone strapped to my hip, although I find I am often too busy to respond when it buzzes for my attention. The first thing I do, when I've even a moment to spare, is check out twitter or Facebook to see what's happening in the world of my family, friends and various side interests. I know I certainly couldn't manage without the computers, phones, fax machines and other assorted techno gadgets that make it possible for me to stay on top of the multi-dimensional workload that is my professional life. Unfortunately it is sometimes hard to leave that behind for the space I need to maintain my personal relationships. I don't balance as well as I would like... just ask my husband of nearly 22 years!
