More about Virginia:"I've been teaching for 31 years now and am no where near retirement. I can't decide if that's a good or bad thing!!
I was born in a very small town in Washington, but I call Idaho my home as I moved to Lewiston at the age of 5. Pocatello called my name when I had to make a decision for college. I honestly wanted to get as far away from my home as possible, yet stay in the state of Idaho to save my parents money. I met Jim after 4 months of school. He's the one who talked me into playing softball (which was only a club sport the first year I attended ISU). A year later, I received a scholarship to play, and couldn't believe any university would PAY me to play the sport I loved. In 1976, I did receive the softball MVP award at the university!! g my degree, and 2 years of teaching under my belt, Jim and I decided to get married...it only took 6 1/2 years of dating! And the rest you can say is history!! We chose to stay in Pocatello to raise Krys and JT, as it is a very safe place. Krys is now married to the army life. She is currently living in Kentucky/Tennessee. She is nervous but very excited for her husband's chosen career in the army!! JT has just moved back to Idaho. He was living in Seattle, and now lives in Nampa. He just turned 21 and is enjoying every moment of the single life!! I've always had dogs and currently have KaiAnn (dalmation cross) and Zo (husky cross). These aren't technically my dogs as JT picked them both out; but once JT was ready to leave home, the dogs were a part of our lives, and not going anywhere! Jim and I are both teachers, and LOVE our summers together! We feel that we have the best of all worlds! Yes, we work our butts off during the year and have very little time for a social life, but we definitely make up for it on all holidays and the summer! It's like being semi-retired every year! Can't beat that! Our life is truly blessed!!".
