Virginia's Story
Life
Life sure has been fun and eventful! No regrets, because for every door that has opened or closed (or slammed in my face!) has led me down a path that has been ever more rewarding. Needless to say, the sum of 20 years after high school has netted me a wonderful husband, Kevin, a beautiful and super intelligent daughter, Veronica-14, and a talented athletic son, Joe-11. (For those of you who just need to know, I remarried seven years ago, which of course means Joseph and I indeed divorced. BUT, Joseph and I remain friends and we have our friendship to thank for the wonderful well adjusted children that we have.)

egree and have been practicing law since 1997.
Kevin is in Law Enforcement and with my practicing law there's never a dull moment at our house. Veronica will be graduating from high school this year (yes, we're that old) and Joe starts high school next year.
Aside from my family, my other passion is the law. I was lucky to have served as Deputy Division Chief for the Special Crimes Division of the Texas Attorney General's Office. I prosecuted white collar crimes for six years before leaving to the Secretary of State and then to serve as Counsel for the Chair of the Texas Workforce Commission. Last year, however, I decided it was time to embark on a new challenge and opened my own practice in downtown Austin. It has been truly challenging and rewarding. I thoroughly enjoy the practice of law and know that it is exactly what I was meant to do with my life!
