Vonnie's Story
After High School I worked at Elitch's for two summers. I got kicked out of C.U. after one semester. It was a really good semester. I was on the Dance Team, had a lot of fun. Then I joined the real world work force in the fileroom of an insurance company. After a couple months I found my life's calling as an Insurance Rater. I was after 20 years made obsolete by computers and on-line insurance companies. I am a little bitter about this. In those twenty years I did a little community theater, got married, had some kids and got divorced. tationed in Iraq. I've re-married which has re-located me to Larimore, North Dakota. I highly recommend a visit in the summer. The weather and camping are wonderful and fireworks are legal and strongly encouraged on 4th of July. The winters suck, unless you enjoy endless days of little sunlight and 3 months of temperatures that don't reach freezing.
I haven't kept in touch with anyone from Green Mountain except my brother Brian who graduated in 1980. And my mother who some of you might remember as Mom the Library Lady and costumer for the musicals those first three years. Brian still lives in Green Mountain and Mom and Dad live in Estes Park and Mesa, Arizona. I hope to reconnect with some of my friends and classmates. Drop me an e-mail. I'd love to hear from you.
