Vonnie's Story
I went by "Sue" in school. I moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 1971, relocated to Belleair, FL in 1992 and now I reside in Bristol, TN with my husband, Ron and our two cats. I have two children, Stephanie(52) and Brian(50) and one grandson, Anthony(25). I am retired from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office(FL). I worked 14 years in the savings & loan industry in St. Petersburg FL with my last position being VP/Branch Manager. I enjoy motorsports, motorcycling, walking, reading, gardening and travel. I love growing heirloom tomatoes from seeds that I dried. I enjoyed FCHS, especially band. I love corvettes and have owned three; now I drive 2022 Prius Limited. Ron and I moved to Bristol for the peace and quiet; he is from Anderson, IN; we met in St. Petersburg & have been married 25 years. We attend the Indy 500 when our schedules permit. I still tear up when they sing "Back Home Again In Indiana!" My favorite authors are James Patterson, Evanovich, Clanc...Expand for more
y, Nora Roberts, Stuart Woods, Patricia Cornwall and have been reading Lee Childs’ Jack Reacher series. Fav movies; Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, Song of the South, all Clint Eastwood movies, all Harrison Ford movies and Harry Potter. I recently lost my long time feline companion, "Bandit" after 17.5 years, he was my traveling buddy when I came to TN on vacation. But, I have the two boys and they are a handful!! They will be 12 August 1. I no longer ride motorcycles, but Ron does. I miss FL, but like TN!! It is like living in IN, only w/ mountains. Love the rural areas and all the wildlife. I visit my daughter, son and grandson who still reside in the Orlando area. I believe you should always treat people with kindness. I try to always have a smile, because I believe that a smile is the best medicine for anything. You should always wake up every morning and thank the Lord for being able to see, smell and hear all the wonderful things a new day has to offer.
