Walter's Story
Life
After graduation joined the United States Air force. During my 6 years 6 months and 9 days I was fortunate to cross both oceans. My Air Force career started at Randolph AFB, Texas (1966)then Sheppard AFB. Next assignment Craig AFB, Alabama spending almost 2 years before transfering to England at Weathersfield Air Station then transfered to Upper Heyford for 2 years. art and start my next career (1972). (During a tour in Alabama at craig Air Force Base I met a wonderful lady, name is Mary and we were married June 28, 1969. Have been hapily maried ever since). Departed the Air Force in 1972 and began my second career as a Civil Servant. After 31 years retired January 03, 1998. I have been a member of the Air Force Reserves for 32 years and just recently extended for 2 more. My wife (Mary) worked for Pacific Bell Phone Company and retired 1999. We moved from Fairfield Ca. to Bend, Oregon in 1999.
